This event was originally due to take place on 6th September but due to unforeseen circumstances will now take place one week later on 13th September.

A free webinar hosted by Genous Limited.

This free to attend webinar will demonstrate the benefits to mortgage lenders of supporting and encouraging customer home energy efficiency retrofits through improved customer affordability, reduced emissions and futureproofed compliance.

During this session Genous will:

  • Provide an overview of the principal home retrofit interventions, describing their associated typical costs and benefits (financial, environmental, comfort) and considerations for lenders
  • Discuss how home retrofits can be optimised holistically to ensure better outcomes, as well as some pitfalls common in poorly-planned projects
  • Explain the challenges inherent in using Energy Performance Certificates (“EPCs”) and related approaches to planning and delivering successful retrofits
  • Provide feedback on the barriers to retrofits that our customers articulate and also from some existing lender pilots/offers
  • Show some of the benefits to lenders that can be achieved by supporting customers through an appropriate retrofit – focus on affordability/bills, environmental performance, current and potential compliance issues
  • Give an overview of Genous’s approach to retrofit in a lender context (no hard-sell; this will be a short part of the session!)
  • Facilitate Q&A, including a discussion of barriers experienced by lenders in encouraging and supporting retrofit among customers and what can be done to address this

Who it's aimed at:
Mortgage and property risk leaders and their teams.

Speaker:
This session will be hosted by Simon Bones, Chief Executive of Genous (and a Visiting Research Fellow at University of Bristol in Climate Change Science). Genous is the leading technology-enabled retrofit provider in the UK and works both direct with customers and indirectly through mortgage lenders with their customers.
