Troop 84 2019 Popcorn and Peanut Sale

Each Scout will be asked to sell $720 of popcorn and peanuts. The money raised through this sale will be spent by the council to keep providing program services and upgrades to camp throughout the 2020 season. The money earned by the troop will be spent on Troop 84 scouts for equipment and money to be put in each scout’s scout account to be used how each family feels it should be (for scouting activities, equipment etc.) Each Scout will be given the following to sell at the August 19th meeting. We will have until October 25th to sell these items.

48 – Carmel Corn bags (4 cases) to sell at $10.00 per bag total $480.00

6 – boxes of Microwave popcorn (1 case) to sell at $20.00 per box total $120.00

6- Cans of 20oz peanuts to sell at $20.00 per can for a total of 120.00

Total per Scout total of $720.00. If all 15 Scouts sell the allotted amount the troop will be bring in $10,800 which works out approximately as follows;

Cost of product to council $ 3,600.00
Cost of product to Suppliers $ 3,600.00
Troop 84 profit $ 3,600.00
$240.00 earned per scout selling

These are estimated and the troop profit will be slightly higher than this due to commission increases that we qualify for.

Troop 84 Popcorn and Peanuts Sale 2019 – Scouts and Scouters of troop 84, we have begun our preparation for the 2019 Popcorn and Peanuts sale. Please note each scout will need to sell between $750 and $1,000 worth of popcorn and peanuts from August 17- October 30, 2019. 
Mr. Battaglia is our lead on this and will distribute the product on the 17th of August with a plan of how to accomplish this. Please get ready to sell.  Remember each Scout earns roughly 33% of each sale.  This money will be kept in a scout account for him to use on any scouting activity.
